The 26th Annual Suncoast Boat Show in Ken Thompson Park, City Island, Florida had another successful year.  Show Management was happy with the turn out as attendance was good and there were buyers keeping the dealers busy.

Boating enthusiasts enjoyed the great outdoors and wonderful weather while pricing and comparing hundreds of boats from the Gulfcoast's leading dealers. The vessels ranged from 5’-65’ including several environmentally friendly vessels as well. Also on display was a full range of marine products and accessories. The weekend’s entertainment also included live music on the fabulous floating cocktail barge and the Hook the Future Free Kids Fishing Clinics on Saturday and Sunday where children received free admission, rod and reel, tackle box and several other goodies while making new friends.  The kids fishing clinics were a huge hit as Captain Don Dingman, Mote Marine Laboratory and the United States Coast Guard fascinated and worked hands on with the children on fishing techniques, tackle selection, ethics and boating safety.

The talk of the docks, was the 65 Marquis   - This year’s show Queen. The Marquis 65, part of the  impressive Galati Yachts display, represents the perfect blend of elegant Italian design with quality American craftsmanship. “Erickson Marine had a very successful (Suncoast Boat Show) this year.  We generated great leads and sales from exhibiting this year.  We look forward to being involved in next year’s show and having a large amount of success” stated Bill Erickson owner of Erickson Marine.  First time exhibitor Calypso Classic, also enjoyed the exposure that the show created for their company.
